Biafra Heroes remembrance day.
We will always remember. The great deeds of gallant men and women will never go in vain. I am not a die hard pro-Biafran but I am a lover of justice. Aside from the Nigeria-Biafra war, what about the over 30,000 easterners killed in 1966 pogrom? What about the over 1 million easterners that fled the northern part of the country to save their life? Many died on the way, many had their arms or legs amputated, they all lost their belongings. Where then is security of life and property? Where then is peace and progress? The story could not end without the mention of the genocide of 1967 to 1970. What then did innocent children and women commit, that the government of Nigeria will ban the supply of food relief to the Biafrans during the war. Hunger truly is a weapon of mass destruction in wartime.
